Transport from Bandung to Hotel Arcadia Jakarta?
Q. I am travelling from Bandung to Jakarta specifically to Hotel Arcadia (Jalan K H Wahid Hasyim No 114 - 10340 - JAKARTA). Can somebody please advise me the best way to get there either by bus or by train? Thanks!
A. You could get the bus from BSM to Soekarna Hatta airport and then get a taxi from the airport- the bus is cheap BUT it would be expensive to get a taxi and would take quite a while with the traffic.
There are also trains from Bandung to Gambir station in Jakarta- use the Argo Gede if possible and book tickets in advance. From Gambir you can just get a Bluebird taxi.
The final option is Cipaganti Travel Bandung- they'll pick you up in Bandung and drop you off at the hotel. However this can take ages depending where you are on the pick-up/ drop-off list.

A. Indonesia is splendid, a vast green country full of unspoiled people, but I don't go there for only one reason:. The visas suck and they make people buy air tickets every month to fly out and renew... They are racist and behind the times as far as tourists generating greenhouse gas just to hang out somewhere for awhile.

At the FO, you will find mostly Indonesian-made clothing that are made for export. Some of the famous brands like Gap, Banana Republic, Ambercombie and Fitch, among others can be found there. They are sold cheaper than the regular stores cause:

Zara, a popular place for the young and the stylish is also something to consider. Their prices are not dirt cheap, but cheap enough to look good in. Zara can be found in famous Jakarta malls (plaza Indonesia, senayan city).
